Swarthmore College Class of 2026, graduating with a dual major in Engineering and Theater, with a passion for designing immersive environments that bring powerful stories to life. Blending technical precision with creative storytelling, Maddie plans to build a career in theatrical and entertainment production where artistry, engineering, and imagination intersect.
Maddie’s work at this intersection includes CAD design for premier holiday installations created for F500 clients by the nation’s leading Christmas decoration company, as well as touring lighting design credits with the Prague Shakespeare Company. Scenic and lighting design are central creative interests, with a focus on transforming imaginative ideas into environments that invite audiences to step inside a story.
At Swarthmore, Maddie has developed strong leadership and collaboration skills across a wide spectrum of roles. As Head Campus Tour Guide, she led tours for hundreds of prospective students and families from across the United States and internationally, while being entrusted to recruit and train up and coming new tour guides. She also serves as Co-President and Director of Communications for the Society of Women Engineers, President of the Radio Station, and Senior Outreach Organizer for the conference-winning women’s swim team.
Known for her ability to color outside the lines, she brings strong problem-solving, creativity, and team-building skills to every production. Maddie is excited to combine engineering, design, and storytelling to create engaging experiences in theatrical and
entertainment production.
